Object Lesson
Object Lesson is a series that was created using image search on the internet, and the results of the image search were then adopted as the title of each work. "Object Lesson" is a teaching method in which visual aids (e.g. objects or photographs) are observed and learned through discussion.
The combination of image and word is a familiar structure that is used not only to learn, but also in every aspect of our lives. In art, works have a corresponding title and this helps in understanding the piece.
This series is based on the question: if the title of a work is the result of a search, rather than determined by the author, can it be considered the title of the work, and if the audience knows that the words accompanying the work are the result of a search, does it change their interpretation of the work?
