Paintingは、Object Lessonから派生したExchange Exampleの延長線上にあり、前作以上に「交換」がどのように作品に作用するかに焦点を当てています。
本シリーズでは、一点ものが中心である絵画というジャンルにエディションを取り入れ、また、額という閉じた空間の中で作品を構成する各要素の役割を入れ替えています。こうした交換が作品の意味や分類、そしてマーケットにおける価値に与える影響を探ります。

This series is a continuation of the Exchange Example, which evolved from the Object Lesson. Compared to previous works, it places greater emphasis on how the idea of 'exchange' operates within the artwork. In this series, I incorporate editions into the genre of painting, which is typically associated with unique pieces. Furthermore, within the closed space of the frame, I reconfigure the roles of the elements that comprise the work. Through these acts of exchange, the series explores how meaning, categorisation and market value are affected.
