The Misericord, or “mercy chair”, is a small wooden chair attached to the underside of folding chairs in the church. They are placed there so that the choirs, who have to stand during the long masses, can sit down and rest in secret. The chocolate coins made as a small rest can be taken home by anyone who picks them up at the exhibition.
